My Newborn Baby Boy

December 30, 2011

Back in April, I delivered our beautiful baby boy.  It was a much easier birth than with Mattea, and the adjustment was pretty easy.  Mattea is a great big sister and did pretty good adjusting to having a baby brother.  I decided to do my own newborn photos, as we had paid for birth photos (see the photos here and here from One Tree Photography) and I had so many ideas of what photos I wanted of Wyatt.  Well, photographing your own newborn is much harder than I anticipated.  I am happy with the photos we were able to get, but had so many other ideas I wanted to try.  I did not think about how hard it would be to keep Wyatt asleep when he could smell milk on me and wanted to wake up and nurse every time I moved him :)

I am so happy with the shots we got with each one of us. These photos are what we chose to hang on our wall. Each one is a 16×16 canvas wrap, and they look great hanging in our entry way.

Long time, no post

I have been so behind on my posting, but am finally going to catch up.  As you can see, I have been working on hard on rebranding.  I finally decided to have a designer create a logo for me that really fits my business, my business style, and my personal style.  I love the tree logo, and am working on changing my branding to match.  It has been a process, but I hope to have everything updated in the next month or so.

In other business news, I am finally getting the studio ready.  As you probably have noticed, we moved from Bothell to Marysville earlier this year, and part of that move included a detached garage that we are converting into a studio.  With having a baby and still working part time in Bellevue, the studio build has taken awhile to get to, but paint is now picked out, heat is being installed this weekend, flooring is being ordered, and there is finally a true plan.  I plan to post photos of the studio in progress, and hope for a finish date of mid Feb or so.
